Graduate Research Fellowship
The Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE) located at the University of Mississippi seeks to improve the quality of mathematics and science education in Mississippi by promoting interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. To achieve this mission, CMSE works closely with students, current teachers and administrators, and those involved in preparing teachers for the future.
The fellowship offers full-time graduate tuition; a competitive stipend; a travel budget to attend state, regional and/or national conferences; and a professional library.
Students pursuing a masters or doctorate degree in mathematics education, science education, or elementary education (with an emphasis in math or science).
Professionals with exemplary skills as a mathematics or science teacher
Demonstrates a passion for teaching and learning
Enrolled full-time (at least 9 hours) in a masters or doctorate program in mathematics education, science education, or elementary education (with an emphasis in math or science).
Work with the CMSE to provide outreach, facilitate professional development, instruct undergraduates, and engage in research aimed at improving the quality of mathematics/science teaching and learning in the state of Mississippi.
