Science Teacher Leaders Academy 2

The Science Teacher Leaders Academy 2, funded by the NASA-Mississippi Space Grant Consortium, is a one-year professional development program for 6th-12th grade science teachers.  The goal of this academy is to establish leaders across the state who are knowledgeable about the 2018 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Science.  This program seeks to develop leaders who understand and are willing to share research-based practices for implementing core elements such as Science and Engineering Practices and Crosscutting Concepts with other teachers at the school, district, and state level.

Applications will be accepted from March 18 – April 15. 

Limited space available. If selected, a $50 seat deposit will be required. 

Prior participants of STLA are not eligible to complete the program again.
