Center for Mathematics and Science Education

The University of Mississippi

Professional Development

The Center for Mathematics and Science Education (CMSE) at the University of Mississippi is operational; however, our events on campus have been adapted, cancelled, or postponed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  We are actively planning for alternative experiences for teachers and students.  Please reach out to us via email (umcmse@olemiss.edu) or phone (662-915-6621) if you need our assistance.  Thank you for your patience during this time and please stay safe and healthy.

The CMSE has a mission to improve mathematics and science education in Mississippi by fostering an interaction between academic and K-12 education communities, supporting the implementation of research-based methods in the classroom and promoting interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Workshops

Interacting with teachers from schools across our state is a wonderful way to learn new ideas to implement in the classroom.
