FIRST TECH CHALLENGE ROBOTICS

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for a MS FIRST Tech Challenge event. Volunteers are the core of FIRST events. These events are an exciting and fun-filled opportunity to see youth in action, applying the knowledge and skills developed through team participation. Each competition event depends on an abundance of volunteers with a broad spectrum of talents to support operating needs and competition demands. We continually seek more individuals to help. Many of the volunteer roles are highly visible and can have a significant positive impact on the quality of the event and students. There is something to suit everyone’s style—whether you like fast-paced action or helping behind-the-scenes. Many event-day volunteer roles do not need to have any technical expertise.

For more information about volunteering for the MS FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Program, please contact Mannie Lowe (first@olemiss.edu).

If you would like to volunteer for any FIRST event, you must register to volunteer by creating a profile and get screened on the FIRST dashboard. All Volunteers must be screened as part of the FIRST Youth Protection Program.

Volunteers must apply for their roles using the FIRST Dashboard. Within 24 hours after selecting a role, you will have access to the training resources from your FIRST Dashboard (click the blue Training/Certification button on the far right).

If you have applied for a role but have not received access to the training, please email FTCTrainingSupport@firstinspires.org.
