Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Educators
Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Educators offers a unique hands-on experience for teachers to learn about new pathways in the manufacturing sectors. On the University of Mississippi campus, educators will work directly with faculty and staff from the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence and Center for Mathematics and Science Education to help align industry needs with content for the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards. Regardless of your interests, this is a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn about the manufacturing industry.
The Summer Leadership Program for Educators is a two-and-a-half-day professional development program partially funded through the Center for Manufacturing Excellence; thus, space is limited to 20 participants in each session.

This program is designed to meet the student support needs of a variety of educators:
- 8th-12th grade mathematics, science, and technology teachers
- Career and technical course instructors
- STEM educators
- High school guidance counselors and administrators
- Other interested educators
Educator Summer Program Dates:
Session 1: June 14-16, 2023
Registration Deadline: May 15, 2023
Only 20 seats are available in each session. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once initial seats are filled, registrants will be placed on a waitlist based on the order their registration was submitted.
Location: The Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence at The University of Mississippi
Registration Fee: $150
Overnight Accommodations: Available upon request
Registered participants will be eligible for 1.4 CEUs if they attend all three days of the Summer Leadership Program for Educators. CEUs cannot be prorated. There is a fee of $15 for CEUs.
OSL and SEMI credits will be available upon request.
CEU Processing
CEU credits are processed electronically by North Mississippi Education Consortium. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing. Participants will be notified via email from NMEC when credits are available for download.
Registration Fee: $150 (includes hotel accommodations if requested and lunch each day).
Due to limited space, we ask that if a registered participant is unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible so that the seat can be given to the next registrant on the waitlist.
