Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program
The Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence, in partnership with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education, is proud to offer the Make It Mississippi Manufacturing Leadership Program. This two-and-a-half-day camp offers high school students and educators the opportunity to learn more about manufacturing and STEM careers within the accounting, business, and engineering sectors.
Make It Mississippi Leadership Experiences
Two summer programs will be offered in 2024.
The Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Students aims to expose and educate students about the different opportunities within the manufacturing community. This involves leadership positions in manufacturing engineering, supply-chain management, financial analysis, management accounting, and others.
The Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Educators celebrates the power of the high school educator! This hands-on experience is designed to support high school teachers in their efforts to share career opportunities with students. Through a professional development approach, the Leadership Program for Educators will help participants align industry needs with content for the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards. Continuing Education Units (CEUs, including OSLs and SEMIs) will be available upon request.
The Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Students is open to rising (2024-2025) high school juniors and seniors.
